Comments on: Do you still listen to Electric Light Orchestra (ELO)?

Of course. If I like a song, I will like it forever* (no such thing as going as of style). I hate classical music but I like it when ELO incorporates classical instruments (Beatles did it too).
Two suggestions for everybody (unsolicited but you won’t regret it):
1) If you like ELO (or any other band) find a way (Rhapsody, friends’ collections, etc.) to hear their old albums especially for the songs that never got any radio play. You will find some gems to get and keep for the rest of your life (especially now that we have mp3 players that allow you to carry your whole collection at all times).
2) YouTube is great but it may not be here forever (anybody remember the original Napster?). Most of the video footage of the concerts is low quality, but you can still see what’s going on and almost feel like you were there. So hook a PC up to a bigscreen TV, invite five friends to make a lists of the top seven YouTube concert clips they want to share, and have a concert party!

* With one exception: Renegade by Styx, which I bought on a vinyl single in 1978 and played again and again for three days until I got sick of it. Cannot listen to it to this day.

I never really listened to them because I wasn’t alive when they were popular, but my dad has one of their albums. I like to dabble in his old music.
